Zoo near De Mechelerhof

In the surroundings of the Mechelerhof you can find a number of animal parks. First of all there is GaiaZOO. This zoo takes you on a breathtaking journey through the animal kingdom. With beautiful animals and beautiful facilities, it is not surprising that the zoo has been voted 'Most beautiful zoo in the Benelux' four times already. In addition, in 2013 the ANWB voted the park 'Nicest outing in the Netherlands'. So you definitely don't want to miss it.

If you want to visit an amusement park during your holiday, there are also a number of ways to go. A nice tip for a day out with the whole family: The Sprookjesbos (Fairytale Forest) in Valkenburg. A small theme park where fantasy and reality meet. Discover timeless fairy tales, fun attractions and many play options.

What once started in 1954 with only a cable car, is now a fun attraction hill with the Wilhelminatoren as eye-catcher: Kabelbaan Valkenburg. From here you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. There are various activities for young and old such as laser game, tobogganing, tubing and minigolf.

A nice mix of zoo, amusement park and gardens is Mondo Verde in Landgraaf.
